Breaking News, 5th May 2022: WBSSC published a notice and said that the West Bengal School Service Commission would publish the SLST Recruitment notification for teacher recruitment. Soon, we will have the most expected Teacher Recruitment advertisement. In 2016, the WBSSC published SLST-1 Notification. And the SLSt-2 will publish very soon. On the notification, there are NOS of vacancies, and rules of recruitment procedure are not provided. In 2020, the West Bengal SCC reformed the teacher recruitment procedure according to the NCTE and recruited some vacancies in the school of Snathali Medium. After the recruitment, NCTE reformed the teacher recruitment procedure.

WBSSC rules 2020
The following article was published in December 2020.
West Bengal School Service Commission(WBSSC) is a well-known Teacher Recruiter in West Bengal. It has been recruiting teachers for high Schools since 1997. According to the education system, it takes a different exam for different levels of teachers. Recently, it has reformed the recruitment procedure and exam system. The new pattern of examination and marks distribution notification was published on the official website of WBSSC. You can read the notification on the official website. Here, we are providing the gist of this notification to get an Idea.
Before providing the new WBSSC recruitment rules, let me tell you about the previous one.
In the previous system, WBSSC takes the exam for four categories of teachers.
For VI-VIII Class: teachers for this class level WBSSC have taken the State Level Selection Test. And the exams are-
a)Upper Primary
b) Physical Education
c) Work education.
For Class IX-IX: for this section, West Bengal School Service Commission took an exam of 55 marks in MCQ exams.
For Class Xi-XII: Also, take the MCQ type Exam.
New Rules of teacher recruitment of WBSSC
The teacher recruitment levels are the same, but the exam pattern has changed. In the new pattern of the exam, three different exams will have taken by the WBSSC. In this reform, the test will be taken on both MCQ and Written. And the marks have increased, 300 of the total value, but the exam is for 350.

Exam Pattern and Marks distribution of Upper Primary
If you are an aspirant of the upper primary level exam, you must appear following exams and mark distribution.

Three tests will be taken for 350 marks in this pattern, but the wastage is 300. The 150 no of the TET exam will be calculated on the ratio of 100 weights. If a candidate obtains 120 marks, then the value of his marks will be 80.
